Who am I ?
High Mountain Guide in Briançon
I wasn’t born at the foot of the peaks, and I don’t come from a long line of mountain people. I grew up near Paris, between boxing gloves and a career as an engineer.
The turning point
Everything changed with the Club Alpin d’Île-de-France. My first summit, the Petite Ciamarella in the Haute Maurienne, was a revelation: the sheer scale, the raw emotion, and the certainty that I no longer wanted to do anything else with my life. I was already climbing in gyms, but that was the day everything changed.
Over the following years, I explored it all: multi-pitch routes, ice climbing, increasingly committing alpine climbs. Very quickly, the desire to share it took over. I passed the entry exams, then trained at the ENSA in Chamonix, until I qualified as an IFMGA high mountain guide.
The Briançonnais, my playground
I’ve lived in the Briançonnais region for ten years and have been working here as a mountain guide since 2019, as a member of both the Bureau des Guides de Briançon and the Compagnie des Guides Oisans-Ecrins. Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvre, the Clarée Valley, and the Écrins massif: I know these mountains inside out in every season, along with their routes and real-time conditions.
When alpinism meets paragliding
A paragliding enthusiast, I eventually combined the two disciplines. For several years now, I’ve offered projects that combine a high mountain summit ascent with a paraglide back down: the effort of the climb, then the freedom of flying over the mountains you’ve just climbed. A unique way to experience the mountains, from the climb to the return to the valley.
My approach to guiding
I guide beginners on their first ascent, families on their first summit, enthusiasts on ski traverses, experienced alpinists on major technical climbs, and paraglider pilots who want to earn their take-off with their own legs.
