Off-piste and ski touring guide in Serre Chevalier
Yoann Georges
IFMGA mountain guide
Based in Briançon, at the foot of the Serre Chevalier ski area, I’m an IFMGA-certified mountain guide offering off-piste and ski touring days across the Guisane valley, from Briançon to Le Monêtier-les-Bains via Chantemerle and Villeneuve. Serre Chevalier is one of the largest ski areas in the French Alps, and famous for its larch-forest tree skiing.
Off-piste skiing in Serre Chevalier
Larch forests, open bowls and couloirs: step off the groomed runs and Serre Chevalier becomes an outstanding freeride playground. I choose every route according to snow cover, avalanche risk and your ability, so you ski the best snow of the day, safely.
Ski touring in the Guisane valley
From your very first day on skins to bigger summits on the edge of the Écrins massif, I’ll help you get started in ski touring (backcountry skiing) or take your skills further: uphill technique, kick turns, route-finding and how to use your avalanche safety gear (transceiver, shovel, probe).
Who is it for?
Confident piste skiers keen to try off-piste, ski tourers looking for new routes, families or groups of friends: every outing is tailor-made, for a single day or a multi-day trip.
